North Penn Bank is a Pennsylvania state-chartered savings bank with deposits insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. We have five offices serving individuals and corporate customers primarily in the counties of Lackawanna and Monroe in Northeastern Pennsylvania. North Penn offers a wide array of deposit products and internet banking, as well as one-to-four family, multifamily, commercial real estate, construction, commercial business and consumer loans. The organization was founded in 1877 and is headquartered in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Notice To Our Customers

FDIC deposit insurance is temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013. The $250,000 limit is permanent for all IRAs and other certain retirement accounts. North Penn Bank has chosen not to participate in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Customers of North Penn Bank with non-interest-bearing transaction accounts will continue to be insured through December 31, 2013 for up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit rules.
